What are the categories of membership?
All members of Adat Chaverim (except Associate Members) have identical rights and privileges of membership. These include participation in all synagogue services, programs and events; voting at meetings of the membership; enrollment of children in our Religious School; and attendance at High Holy Day services.
We have established membership categories for purposes of annual financial commitments. These categories and their annual commitment rates (for the year beginning June 1, 2008) are below. While Adat Chaverim expects all members to support the congregation financially to the best of their ability, it is our policy not to deny membership to any person based solely on a genuine inability to pay financial obligations. The Financial Review Committee, chaired by the Senior Vice President, reviews all requests for reduced annual commitments in strictest confidence.

An Introduction to Judaism is a course designed for Jews and non-Jews who are interested in learning more about the history, customs, and philosophy of Judaism.
The goal is to present the student with some of the basics of Judaism. By taking the course, we hope that the student will begin to understand what Judaism is today and how it has grown. We will cover the Jewish calendar including holiday observances, Jewish life-cycle events, Jewish history, and Jewish beliefs.
The course is great for: those who were born Jewish but never formally studied Judaism or with only a minimal Jewish educational background, a non-Jew who is interested in eventually converting to Judaism, a non-Jewish person who is looking to learn more about the Jewish religion.
We encourage those in an interfaith relationship to take the course together.
This is a wiki intended for Adat Chaverim membership and committees to collaborate on committees, meetings, etc... To obtain access, please email webmaster@adatchaverim.org.
