An Introduction to Judaism is a course designed for Jews and non-Jews who are interested in learning more about the history, customs, and philosophy of Judaism.
The goal is to present the student with some of the basics of Judaism. By taking the course, we hope that the student will begin to understand what Judaism is today and how it has grown. We will cover the Jewish calendar including holiday observances, Jewish life-cycle events, Jewish history, and Jewish beliefs.
The course is great for: those who were born Jewish but never formally studied Judaism or with only a minimal Jewish educational background, a non-Jew who is interested in eventually converting to Judaism, a non-Jewish person who is looking to learn more about the Jewish religion.
We encourage those in an interfaith relationship to take the course together.
